The Original ‘James Bond’ Comic Strips Return in New Collection

Titan Comics has announced Ian Fleming’s James Bond Signature Comic Strip Collection, a hardcover edition celebrating the earliest newspaper comic-strip adventures of the world’s most famous secret agent.

Whether you’re new to the comic adventures of James Bond, or a long-time reader, Titan Comics is bringing readers the full and comprehensive collection, bound in a 296-page hardback volume. It collects the first seven full-length adventures of James Bond as originally adapted from the novels of Ian Fleming for the daily newspaper strips. The edition is due for release in September.

Spanning the formative years of the franchise, from July 1958 to May 1961, the original comic strips were written by Henry Gammidge, Anthony Hern, and Peter O’Donnell, and illustrated by acclaimed artist John McLusky, who offered. Such faithful adaptations included in the collection are Casino Royale, Live and Let Die, Moonraker, Diamonds Are Forever, From Russia with Love, Dr. No, and Goldfinger. These comics brought the larger-than-life cinematic signature of Bond to a visual medium before the franchise became a multi-billion dollar movie franchise.

The volume also features a unique and extensive gallery of  John McLusky’s original artwork selected by his family.
