‘Absolute Batman #20’ Cover Reveal: “The Robins Enter the Story in a Huge Way”

DC has just revealed the cover for Absolute Batman #20, and it’s one of the most epic front covers to date.

This May, The Robins enter DC’s Absolute Universe in a huge way. Ahead of its release on May 13, and because some images have already started to spill into the internet (sigh), DC has officially revealed the cover for Absolute Batman #20. Naturally, Nick Dragotta’s cover is another stellar work, demonstrating the high-scale essence of the Absolutes. We can’t get over the mecha suits. It certainly ushers in the seminal issue with style.

The official synopsis for Absolute Batman #20 reads: “A TRAGIC LOSS ROCKS GOTHAM CITY! As the dust settles in the city of Gotham after the loss of [redacted], Robins enter the scene ready to hunt and more than one secret will be revealed in this seminal issue.”

The cover was initially posted on X by Scott Snyder. “Hey everyone, because some of the images are starting to appear out there, DC has decided to reveal the cover of ABSOLUTE BATMAN 20 today! In May ,THE ROBINS enter the story in a huge way…” he wrote. “Really excited for you guys to see what we have planned – and to hear your thoughts!”

Readers were quick to share their excitement. “Whoaaaaa okayyyy ny interest is peaked through the roof,” one user wrote. Another commented: “The fact this is what the censor was covering is so crazy, I didn’t expect the robins in a mech.”

Absolute Batman #20 releases online and in stores on May 13.
