‘Avengers: Doomsday’, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Are The Two Most Anticipated Movies of 2026

In 2026, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will debut two of its most anticipated movies in years, and that’s reflected in the most-hyped list, which takes data from Google.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe might not be the mammoth it was just a couple of years ago. Sure, the franchise still picks up plenty of cash at the box office, but more recent instalments like Captain America: Brave New World and The Fantastic Four: First Steps haven’t quite lived up to the numbers set by flicks that came before, not least Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, going into 2026, the MCU has a couple of big hitters on the horizon. It begins in the summer with Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and culminates in the hugely anticipated Avengers: Doomsday in December.

Both movies have garnered myriad discussion. From the mysterious role of Sadie Sink in Brand New Day, to the gigantic ensemble cast in Doomsday, which includes Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom and Chris Evans returning as Steve Rogers. There’s a lot riding on these two movies; they (especially Doomsday) represent a key gateway for the future of the franchise.
