Our 6 Most Anticipated New Comics Coming in July 2026

From the return of our favorite series of 2025, to the launch of an all-new superhero universe from Robert Kirkman — here’s all the most exciting new comics coming our way in July 2026.

July 2026 is all set up to be another massive month for comics. We’re talking everything from the launch of an all-new superhero universe from industry titans, to returning favourites. It’s a big month ahead, full of horror, outer-space, and thrilling adventures. Here’s your guide to our most anticipated upcoming launches.

Terminal #1

Terminal #1 Cover A by Andy Kubert

After Invincible, Robert Kirkman has teamed up with Joe Casey, Andy Kubert, David Finch & Arthur Adams, for the launch of Terminal, an all-new superhero universe that promises to be one of the comic book events of 2026.

Despite Invincible being one of the most celebrated super universes in pop culture, Kirkman is teaming up with several other fan-favourite creators to usher in an all-new series called Terminal. This series marks Kirkman’s first return to the superhero genre since Invincible. Described as the ‘most violent and unpredictable’ comic of the year, Terminal sees Kirkman collaborate with superstar writer Joe Casey (Uncanny X-Men, Wildcats), alongside artists Andy Kubert (X-Men, Batman), David Finch (Ultimate X-Men, Batman), and Arthur Adams (X-Men), colorist Dave McCaig (The Walking Dead Deluxe), and letterer Rus Wooton (TRANSFORMERS).

The official synopsis reads: There is a secret war being waged across the world by two violent forces with superhuman abilities who blur the lines between good and evil. When Marilyn Howe’s search for her missing sister Alessandra puts her in the center of this conflict, she’ll learn that the power to save the world comes from unlocking your genetic code and giving up everything you thought you knew about yourself…if you survive the experience.

Assorted Crisis Events #9

It’s hard to believe that the last issue of Deniz Camp’s masterful sci-fi anthology Assorted Crisis Events came back in January. That issue was a particularly good one, utilising the comic book ‘gutter’ to tell an incredibly unique story. Now, in July, the series (which we loved so much that we made it our favorite series of 2025) returns for an all-new story. In this one, Camp introduces the crosstemporal employment app. Yep, it’s as weird as it sounds — and that’s wonderful!

The official synopsis reads: Are you poor, desperate, huddled, massive? Do you live in a dark age, a depression, one of the many historical periods of slim pickings and no options? Welcome to the TEMPS, the first crosstemporal employment app! The past and future are filled with low skill, low wage gigs! Gigs such as: Cobbler’s assistant in plague-era Europe! Salvager in the ruins of New York, 2832! Soldier in Krang’s Cross-Time Army! Temp is shattering the temporal ceiling!

Ben 10 #3

Fuelled by the return of the Man of Action team, the new Ben 10 comic run has become an overnight phenomenon. Sales only grew with issue #2. In issue #3, we reunite with Diamondhead.

Published by Dynamite Entertainment, the Ben 10 comic reboot is a very exciting prospect for fans of the franchise — and readers have been flocking to it. Sure, the comics are not quite a Cartoon Network reboot, but the series brings back together original creators Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Duncan Rouleau, and Steven T. Seagle for the first time in 16 years. It’s a series shrouded in authenticity, made by those who first ushered the series onto our screens.

Issue #3 is all set up to be another top tier instalment. And yes, mainly because it features Diamondhead. Check out the official synopsis: With the army hot on his trail, Ben struggles to control his different transformations – but can any of them defeat the horrific Kraab?! It’s a knock down, drag out which will leave only one combatant standing! And if that weren’t enough for Ben to deal with, his new secret is discovered by someone close to him! The definitive Ben 10 series continues courtesy of Man of Action’s Joe Casey and artist of valor Robert Carey! This issue features the debut of fan-favorite alien DIAMONDHEAD!

Absolute Batman #22

Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta’s Absolute Batman (or the entire Absolutes line, for that matter) needs no introduction. The series is a phenomenon, outselling all the rest every month. In issue #22, Snyder offers readers an origin story for fan-favorite Harley Quinn. Plus, there’s more on the Robins.

Check out the official description: As the Robins nest in Gotham’s backyard, and Batman faces ultimate defeat, Harley Quinn’s origin is revealed. How does Harley connect with Ark M, and how did the Robins fledge from hatchlings to birds of prey? The call of more than one predator will be answered in this issue.

Black Star #1

Acclaimed actress Kristin Kreuk (Smallville, Reacher, Murder in a Small Town) has teamed up with co-writer with Peter Mooney (Rookie Blue, Mistletoe Murders) and screenwriter Eric Putzer for Black Star, an all-new 5-issue gothic horror series coming to Titan Comics in July. The series is illustrated by Joe Bocardo (Nightwalkers, The Hexiles).

Set in the wasteland of early 19th Century Winnipeg, the series is described by the publisher as a weird and wonderful, propulsive and morally grey story. It’s narratively compared to The Revenant and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.

The official description reads: “Amidst skirmishes between two warring factions in the early nineteenth-century fur trade, Dashiell Carlyle discovers he has magical abilities… and that he’s not alone. Thrust into a secret order with designs to use their magic to build a new and better world, Dashiell discovers that their utopia may come at a horrific cost.”

From the creative team to the concept, to the brilliant and cinematic preview pages, this looks like a comic you won’t want to miss.

Doctor Who: Circuit Breaker #1

You don’t need us to tell you that the Doctor Who franchise is in a precarious situation right now. However, on the comics side of things, publisher Titan Comics has been killing it in recent years. We really enjoyed miniseries The Prison Paradox, and now writer Dan Watters is back with another adventure.

What is the new series, Circuit Breaker all about? Here’s the description: In Adversary of the Daleks, the Doctor arrives in Thessaloniki in ancient Greece where she discovers that even the gods fear strange visitors from across the universe.
