Image Comics has announced a return to print for the first seven issues of Deniz Camp and Eric Zawadzki’s anthology comic Assorted Crisis Events.
In our end-of-year lists, we declared Assorted Crisis Events not only the breakout comic series of 2025, but simply the best of the lot. Published by Image Comics, the series, created by writer Deniz Camp and artist Eric Zawadzki, brings out the best of the comics medium. It’s daring, pushing the medium to its limit through tales that range from mind-bending adventures, to devastatingly tales of heartbreak. As sci-fi as the tales get — and they do get wild very often — the human side always strikes at the forefront.
In a recent press release, Image Comics noted that they have Assorted Crisis Events #1-7 back to print this week in order to keep up with surging demand.
“We are so honored and humbled by the response to this book, I cannot express my gratitude to readers enough,” said Camp. “I’ve heard from a lot of retailers that the single issue and trade audiences are different, and that people are still hungry for singles. And we want every kind of reader we can get, and to have this material available in whatever format people prefer! Plus, honestly, it’s an excuse to have one of the greats of modern comic art do a series of jaw-dropping, thematically connected covers. I couldn’t be happier!”
Assorted Crisis Events will continue further into 2026 with new stories. Camp is killing it at other publishers too. We particularly love his new ongoing zombie series Bleeding Hearts at DC Vertigo.
