It’s that time of year, folks. SDCC is here, and with it is another big sweep of exciting announcements from DC. Of which, there have been plenty of things to discuss. Below we’ve listed some of the most notable announcements. Let’s take a tour.
Lightning previews: New comic book reveals
We’ll be covering these titles in more detail (keep an eye on our site), but here’s a skim of what’s been revealed.
- Scott Snyder and Sanford Greene revealed Darkseid Vs The World, a new DC All-In one-shot.
- Scott Snyder and Frank Tieri reveal upcoming one-shot Absolute Batman: Beyond Ark M.
- DC reveals Batman of Two Worlds #1, featuring a brand-new Batman story by Matt Fraction & Javi Fernández.
- Absolute Martian Manhunter creators Deniz Camp and Javier Rodríguez reunite for new ongoing series Shadow of the Bat.
- DC announces Absolute Black Canary — a one-shot by Pornsak Pichetshote and Belén Ortega.
- Morgan Hampton is writing a new ongoing Steel series for DC Comics
- Stephanie Williams and Khary Randolph will launch a new Vixen series.
- Cody Ziglar and Diego Olortegui launch a new Static ongoing series.
- Michael Walsh writes and draws new series Jonah Hex and the Shadow of Death.
- James Harren writes and draws new series The Demon, coming in October 2026.
