In this edition of The Full Run, we check out the cover to DC Comics’ The Spirit #8, drawn by Darwyn Cooke, inked by J. Bone and coloured by Dave Stewart.
The Spirit #7 is a fill in issue featuring short stories by other writers. But for the purposes of this series, the cover was done by Darwyn Cooke. Appropriate for a “summer special,” it features Denny Colt at the beach.
It’s a fun image of good looking people at the beach without being too cheesecakey.
The interior stories are quite well done, but we will be skipping the usual deep dive as they aren’t by Darwyn Cooke, who Comics Bulletin is focused on.
