0

Out of the gluttony of Absolute Batman variant covers out there, which ones are our favorites? Here’s our top 10.

Since it began in 2024, Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta’s Absolute Batman has become a behemoth of the comic book industry, smashing records at every turn and proving that re-working and re-imagining beloved characters can work a treat. The sales figures speak for themselves.

The series is set in a world where Bruce Wayne is not the inheritor of a billion-dollar business empire, but a civil engineer. It chronicles how his life could’ve played out differently. It’s a much different vision of traditional Batman, but it keeps the essence of the character and the DNA somewhat in tact. It feels both authentic and novel at the same time. It’s one of the central ongoing titles in DC’s Absolute Universe, along with Absolute Superman and Absolute Wonder Woman.
